Dr. Taral Patel is from Alberta, Canada, and has lived in various parts of Canada and the United States. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics from the University of Alberta, and a Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
She has completed externships at cornea and contact lens, medical, pediatric, and binocular vision practices, demonstrating her dedication to providing diverse clinical experience to better serve her patients. Her passion for helping individuals with low vision led her to complete a Low Vision Rehabilitation Residency at the William Feinbloom Vision Rehabilitation Center, where she gained experience in providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages with visual impairments associated with inherited eye conditions, trauma, stroke, and various eye diseases.
Dr. Patel has been recognized for her hard work, receiving several awards, such as the William Feinbloom Low Vision Award, Optelec Excellence in Low Vision Award, and a Presidential Scholarship throughout her 4 years of optometry school.
Dr. Patel's problem-solving skills and creativity make her an ideal practitioner for patients of all ages and needs.
