Myopia

April 23, 2015

A condition where items that are farther away appear blurry.

Myopia is fairly common in children. The problem is usually detected between the ages of 8 and 12 and nearly always before the age of 20. Often the severity of problem increases as the body grows rapidly, eventually leveling off in adulthood.

Difficulty seeing distant objects is the main symptom of myopia. A teacher is often the first to notice that a child is squinting to see the blackboard or is having trouble seeing faraway objects.

What our customers are saying:

Very happy with surgery. Very little pain. Will be happy to refer my family and friends. Staff at laser center was very friendly and professional.

Everything was just as expected. My daughter had been here and she recommended Nationwide. So far so good!

My experience during my surgery was great. Everyone made me feel comfortable and worry-free about the procedure. During the procedure, the doctor kept talking to me throughout, letting me know things were ok. I would recommend this facility.
